The series I am currently working on are acrylic paintings on paper and canvas.. They are a continuation of my Blues series, thus the name, Beyond Blues.
As I continue to be inspired by classical music and jazz, Beyond Blues, begun in 2021, allows in more warmth and light.
Working abstractly, this series is leading me further into conversation with
color, line, and light, and how these elements interact, sometimes magically, to create power and beauty.
This dialogue engages me in a journey between deliberate and intuitive use of the media and brings with it thoughts, memories, and associations that appear in the work in the form of atmosphere and mood.
